one of the best fried chicken i had, since i mentioned its my first time there, person at the counter was very generous to me by giving 4 dipping sauces and all of them was amazing. FYI Its located in zion market. update they are not generous with sauces anymore not even 1 more, also increased the price for sauce to 0.75, not big deal but eating half chicken with 1 sauce only not pretty. I think they should re-consider that, end of the day sauces that make you eat more just saying

Food here is amazing, but the wait makes it difficult to give 5 stars. Even ordering ahead it was almost an hour after pickup time that I got my order. Really good service otherwise and great food. Come here knowing you'll be waiting.

This is a really good place to get Korean fried chicken. It's located in the food court at the Zion market. I went with the Volcano chicken since I like spice. Your order will take 15 minutes or so since everything is prepared fresh. My chicken was very messy since all the extra sauce was poured on top. It was finger licking good. I just wish it was hotter. They did say they could spice it up my next time if I wanted. I'll take them up on that offer. I saw a few orders where the chicken was dry but if you get the saucy chicken make sure to get napkins.

They have halal chicken with bone only. Just ask for it when ordering. Finally a halal Korean bbq option in Irvine.

Ok this is now my fav KFC in OC. Very light and crispy fried chicken! I think the batter here is a little lighter than other KFC places and I personally like it better! It doesn't feel as heavy so you end up being able to eat more haha. The ambience is more of a to go place though as it is very small inside and most of the orders are online orders which I am going to do next time vs dining in. Staff is friendly and are transparent about the wait time so you can decide whether you want to wait or not. It IS worth the wait though.

Best of the best! Strongly recommend. We came for lunch, nasi goreng seafood and beef minced fried rice. Very nice! And we revisit for dinner at the same day, tried beef hofan noodles and salted eggyolk chicken. So yummy. Service is very good, food very fast as well!

Korean fried chicken done right. If you’ve had good Korean fried chicken, you’d know that freshness is key. This usually means the wait time could be long, but I promise you, it’s worth it. You can call ahead and order if you don’t want to wait or do some grocery shopping after you make your order!

I've been a fan of of Furai Chicken for a while, having been a frequent visitor of their old location in Zion Market as well as their new standalone spot on Yale Ave...and it's never been a disappointment! Furai boasts some of the best, if not the best, Korean fried chicken in the area. I even once took a friend who visiting from New York, and she claimed it was better than any of the spots in NY she's had Korean fried chicken at. As other reviews have mentioned, the chicken here is super crispy on the outside, super tender on the inside, with sauces ranging from the classics to more unique, and the taste is absolutely delicious! My personal favorite is the chicken with the "kang jung" sauce, which has a bit of a kick to it (due to it being tossed with serrano chilis and chili flakes). If you prefer something milder, you can't go wrong with the classic "soy garlic" sauce. A heads up though, they can get pretty busy during peak dinner hours (it seems to be quite popular with take-out orders), so plan ahead and order on their website to avoid long wait times. Side note, it's conveniently located next to Baum, a cute coffee and pastry spot that's also worth checking out!
